TEC expects its graduates to be employed and paid at higher rates than alumni from other vocational programs.
TEC students are measured from the time they enter the program to two years after graduation. Their outcome indicators are based on technical and soft skills, overall academic performance and employment data.
After graduation, students are surveyed on their employment details or re-enrollment into higher education. Employers are responsible for assessing whether TEC graduates demonstrate a high level of technical and employability skills.
Parent participation is integral to students’ success. In TEC, parents motivate their children, hold them accountable and communicate with teachers on their children’s progress. TEC schools are expected to communicate with parents through personal interactions and timely newsletters.
Data and feedback from students, parents and employers ensures TEC is always adapting to meet the current needs of the local marketplace.
