Where TEC currently operates, schools are partnering with local stakeholders to maximize students’ training and employment opportunities. Below are just some of the coalitions with which TEC is engaged:

Lagos, Nigera
Cummins, Schneider Electric, CFAO (French multinational) and IECD (French NGO) are part of a coalition to support TEC and vocational education in Lagos, Nigeria at IIT (education partner). Together, the partners have:
  • provided funding for many aspects of the program including equipment and computers  
  • actively engaged in leadership of the program through the steering committee
  • worked closely in a workshop to develop market-relevant curriculum 
  • developed an internship program for students


Izmir, Turkey
Cummins and Schneider Electric are the leading industry partners among a TEC coalition in Izmir, Turkey, that includes many other business partners, IZKA (Izmir Development Agency), and Ege University (education partner). Together, they have:
  • cohosted events for potential female students
  • conducted a curriculum workshop
  • provided volunteers to deliver soft skills lessons at Ege University
  • contributed financial support for equipment, female scholarships and pedagogical training for teachers


Chongqing, China
Chongqing Cummins Engine Company, along with Visteon, Exedy, Faurecia and Huigong Group are working closely with Chongqing Industrial Polytechnic College to implement TEC. Key commitments and activities include:
  • identifying curriculum gaps
  • participating in career guidance industry events
  • providing internships to students
  • hiring students 


Beijing, China
Cummins Distribution, Cummins Emissions Solutions, Beijing Foton Cummins Engine Company and Faurecia are working closely with Beijing Polytechnic to implement TEC. Key commitments and activities include:
  • identifying curriculum gaps
  • donating engines 
  • participating in career guidance industry events
  • hiring students


Perth, Australia
Cummins South Pacific, Komatsu Australia, Automotive Holdings Group, AV Trucks, Bus and Coach International, Thiess and Brierty have created a coalition to support TEC at Clontarf Aboriginal College. Key commitments and activities include:
  • providing curriculum and teacher training
  • offering internships
  • hosting career guidance industry events
  • hiring students


Brisbane, Australia
Cummins South Pacific, Komatsu Australia, Brown and Hurley, Bryant Engineering, Logan City Council and the Queensland State Department of Education are working together to implement TEC at the YMCA Vocational School in Brisbane. Key activities and commitments of the coalition include:
  • assisting in the redesign and update of the school workshop to reflect industry standards
  • providing curriculum, training of teachers
  • offering internships
  • hosting career guidance industry events
  • hiring students


Morocco
  • Cummins and APM Terminals are working closely with the OFPPT Center for Transport to implement TEC in Casablanca, Morocco. Key contributions have included a computer lab and engines to outfit the school’s mechanical lab.
